Hello Hello Everyone! I have finally been taught how to add a blog to my website! So much happens here in Costa Rica that makes this adventure so interesting. Happy to have you join me in my journey!
Short background… I am from Worcester, MA and lived in Murrells Inlet & Pawleys Island SC for 13 years and had 3 restaurants there. I wanted a warmer climate and less stress, congestion, traffic and technology usage so I did my research and landed in Nosara, Costa Rica in August of 2016. I continued to operate my restaurant in Murrells Inlet until December of 2016 and opened K-Rae’s Black Sheep in Nosara on New Years Eve of 2016. In November of 2017 I named the property La Vista Montana Resort to let people know I also have three cabinas that I rent out on on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
With the 3 rooms, the 50′ lap pool and the Irish Pub in the middle of this beautiful scenery why would you stay anywhere else? Casa de K-Rae Red Room, Blue Room and Theresita room can all be found on Airbnb. It’s so fun meeting people from all over the World! It has been a long, fun, sometimes stressful, educational experience. I am of Irish decent and our motto has always been, “Laugh at yourself and the hard times, it’s what makes you stronger”. “If I don’t laugh I’ll cry and that is not happening”. 🙂 Well I do a LOT of laughing. 🙂 That is what makes life interesting, no?
K-Rae’s Black Sheep is an Irish Pub in the middle of a jungle on a mountain in Nosara, Costa Rica. It has it’s challenges but it is only 5 miles from Playa Pelada, Playa Ostional and Playa Guiones. It is VERY easy to get to and WELL worth the trip up. The views are amazing, the wildlife you get to see in one place are awesome, the food is simple, yet delicious and affordable and the staff is outstanding. It is a MUST visit when visiting Costa Rica, especially if you are anywhere in the Guanacaste region. Come on up and see what EVERYONE is talking about. Until next time… Pura Vida! 🙂
